Assembly
Roll stamens around the pistil base (see
picture). Sew in place with the thread
tail left on it. - Attach the stamens to the thick wire.
Fold the wire in U shape at the top and
attach it at the centre of the stamens
and twist it tightly with the help of
pliers to secure it tightly in place. - Start adding the petals, as shown in the
picture securing each petal by winding
with thread or with twisting the wire
ends in each petal around the stem. Add
3 petals in the first row, then add a
second row of petals alternating the
first one with three petals. - Add three fuzzy sticks to the stem wire
to increase its thickness (or you can
wind thick yarn around the wire). Wind
floral tape around the thickened stem
wire. - Attach the leaf to the stem about 6”
below the flower head securing it with
the wire at its base. Wind floral tape
around the leaf base to hide the wire. - Shape all petals at the base to make a
bowl shape flattening the base of the
petals for about ½ inches. (See picture )
